Eyebrow Waxing Treatments in Brighton, East Sussex

Professional eyebrow waxing in Brighton

There’s nothing quite like having perfectly groomed and gorgeously shaped eyebrows, every day of the year. Wherever you are in Brighton and Hove, you don’t have to worry about giving your face the sculpted brows it deserves, because Match Skin Salon is here to serve.

Our professional aestheticians are highly skilled and qualified to deliver a waxing treatment that is both comfortable and fast. Using tried and tested methods that work for eyebrow waxing, we assure you of a delightful waxing experience. Our hygiene standards are strict and we use only premium wax to get the results you need, in the best possible conditions.

Waxing to remove excess facial hair

Hair removal from all parts of the body, including the face, has been a popular practice for a while now. One of the methods of choice is waxing and it is often favored due to its durable effects. Since it takes the hair out from the root, it takes a longer time for the hair to grow back than if it was simply shaved.

Waxing is a popular method amongst Brighton women for getting rid of excess hair in the brow area. Be assured that you’ll receive a comfortable, luxury waxing treatment at Match Skin Salon, as we only use superior wax and our beauty therapists take extra special care. This is our approach to ensure any discomfort is minimised and you’re left with beautifully trimmed brows.

What to do before an eyebrow waxing treatment

It is always a good idea to lightly exfoliate the area to be waxed in order to achieve the best results. However, you’ll want to stay away from powerful exfoliates. Do your best to stay away from chemical peels and sun exposure for at least two days before your eyebrow waxing treatment. Also, try not to shave the area for about three weeks before your scheduled treatment.

What to do after an eyebrow waxing treatment

It is best to avoid exercising excessively for at least 24 hours after your waxing treatment, because sweating can cause irritation to the area in question. Whenever you do exercise afterwards, it’s a good idea to take a shower immediately following your workout. You might also want to apply an antibacterial cleansing gel to keep your follicles clear of bacteria-carrying perspiration.

Also, you should avoid exposing the waxed area to direct sunlight or solariums for at least 24 hours after your treatment, given that the waxed area is more prone to burning. Do not exfoliate the treated area for at least two or three days after your appointment, but you may exfoliate every two days or so after that. Exfoliation can help prevent ingrown hairs.

Try not to shave your excessive brow hairs between waxing appointments, because that would affect the cycle of hair growth. You may have to return for eyebrow waxing treatment sessions after every three or four weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. If you have any questions about the process or repeat appointments, you can always reach us via phone at 01273 719009.

Is eyebrow waxing a painful procedure?

The main reason for irritation and sensitivity in the area that is being waxed is waxing over the same area too many times. At Match Skin Salon, we have professional and highly skilled beauty therapists who always take care to provide the required support. Also, we use wax of superior quality in order to minimize any pain that you might feel. Ultimately, your pain threshold will determine the level of discomfort you experience. However, the pain will subside after a few treatments.

Harley Wax Film waxing in Brighton

At Match Skin Salon, we like to use the Harley Film Wax for facial waxing, because it works fantastically well for that purpose. It is an advanced hybrid of strip wax and hot wax. It is so good that it can take out hairs as short as 1mm and completely eliminates the need to tweeze.

Made from beeswax, tree resin, and essential oils, the Harley Film Wax uses the finest essential oils and ingredients, with a low-melt temperature that ensures complete satisfaction and comfort. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue and we love the fact that it is manufactured in the UK to very high standards.

How long does an eyebrow waxing treatment take?

While waxing times differ, your eyebrows are a small area to wax and won’t take too long at all, so you’ll be in and out of the salon as quickly as you need to be.
